slept in a yurt. reunited with old friends. dipped my body into rio frio. made peace with snakes. saw tame impala live (which basically makes my life complete now). cried to cigarettes after sex. danced to khruangbin. danced a lot in general. went surfing for the first time. fell in love with so many places. ate too many pasteis de nata. dreamed of moving to peniche at some point in my life. had a lot of realizations. got used to salt and sand everywhere. came back inspired. portugal, you were so fine.

maybe it’s the rain or maybe it’s the loss of my wisdom teeth. maybe it’s my pms or maybe it’s just my heart quietly knocking on the door and saying „sorry to disturb, but we got a bit of stuff going on. i’ve been holding it in for a little too long now“. today i feel everything and nothing. i feel sad and i feel numb. i feel tired and i feel emotional. i feel a lot, in general, but these kinds of days have become more frequent lately and i’m tired of trying to find legitimate excuses for them. i’m getting tired of my own tears and i’m getting tired of these thoughts that cross my mind on a daily basis. i’m tired of missing someone and i’m tired of telling myself that i don’t. and it’s weird because at the same time i feel like i’ve never been as mentally strong as i am in this very moment. i find myself at the dentist as collected as i could be, accepting the circumstances like a buddha and using breathing techniques to calm myself down, while thinking that a year ago i planned to do that same procedure with full anesthesia, panicking and thinking i could never go through it with full awareness. i also find myself climbing a rock with more than 30 m heights with no fucking fear whatsoever. i know that i can get through everything, mentally, because i’ve been on the other side for so long, being held hostage by my own thoughts. i know how powerful my mind can be and that goes for both directions. i’m not afraid of shit, put me in any situation and i’ll deal with it. but then there are days like these and i realize, the only thing i haven’t mastered yet is my heart. and maybe it’s not a thing to master, maybe that’s the whole point about having one and about being human. but damn, how do we deal with the feeling of somebody ripping out your intestines? how do we deal with sudden attacks of grief? i want to feel whole again. i don’t even know what i’m trying to say and i don’t even know why i feel like oversharing, but it has always done something to my soul - writing it all down and giving it off to the world, like handing on the weight in the hopes of it becoming less heavy when put on more shoulders rather than just my own.

𝘵𝘩𝘰𝘶𝘨𝘩𝘵𝘴 𝘰𝘯 𝘢 𝘤𝘰𝘻𝘺 𝘵𝘶𝘦𝘴𝘥𝘢𝘺 𝘢𝘧𝘵𝘦𝘳𝘯𝘰𝘰𝘯. today i’m tired, but in the best type of way. you know that tiredness that makes you look at life through a soft lens, a little blurry but everything is dipped in warm golden light? you wake up and you know today you’re going to take it easy, start the day slowly. take out the pressure and put it in a box underneath your bed, be gentle with yourself and take time to breathe intentionally. today is that kind of day. and i’m having all sorts of beautiful thoughts. i’m so incredibly grateful for this life. so incredibly grateful for everything i get to experience. and i had this thought that made me all excited on the inside. last year a lot of things happened for me that i didn’t even dare to dream of before they happened. so knowing that now, in this very moment i’m not even dreaming of all the beautiful things that are going to happen in the future makes me all tingly in my fingers and in my heart. i have no idea what awaits me and it used to scare me so much, i used to put so much energy in trying to control the outcome emotionally, physically, personally, financially. and right now i find myself in this state of flow, a state of trusting my intuition and trusting the process. trusting that life, in all it’s complexity happens for me and not against me. ✨

heute um mitternacht erscheint mein neuer song "ka

heute um mitternacht erscheint mein neuer song "karma" und ich weiß gar nicht was ich fühlen soll. ich bin einfach nur dankbar für dieses leben, das ich mein eigen nennen darf und die sicherheit in unserem land. meine gedanken sind bei den menschen die gerade angsterfüllt und traumatisiert aus ihrem land flüchten müssen, so wie es meine familie in den 90ern tun musste. ich bin in gedanken bei allen, die ihre liebsten zurücklassen und sich in einem neuen land zurecht finden müssen. meine gedanken sind auch bei all jenen die aktiv hilfe leisten und sich vor ort um menschen kümmern und ihnen so gut es geht schutz bieten. ich habe so großen respekt vor jedem einzelnen von euch. ich hoffe und bete dafür, dass die menschheit irgendwann aus ihren fehlern lernt und zukünftige generationen begriffe wie krieg und diktatur nur noch in geschichtsbüchern vorfinden werden. ich weiß nicht was ich fühlen soll, aber vielleicht ist das auch okay. 🕊
